Ion Corporation is a local, BIPOC-owned aerospace engineering company headquartered in Eden Prairie. They are looking to expand operations to a second facility to be built as Phase I of the RiverNorth Development, with total development costs of approximately $30MM. The impact of this new facility would be as follows:

➢ 90-110 new jobs

➢ 50-75% to be sourced through the RiverNorth Foundation geofocused on north Minneapolis

➢ Starting wages to be $25-$75/hr

➢ Annual payroll of $10MM

➢ Annual revenue of $18-24MM

➢ $160MM in economic activity on Broadway Avenue

The RiverNorth Foundation mission is to provide professional training to people from marginalized communities to be employed in professional jobs by local employers within their own community. The RiverNorth District provides a home in which businesses will hire newly trained North Minneapolis residents.

Addressing racial disparities and social justice through employment training, which is targeted within the geographic boundaries of North Minneapolis, directly benefits individuals and their community becomes strong, resilient and complete.
